Rusty: What are the advantages of using traveler's checks?
Susan: Well for one, they can be replaced if they are lost or stolen.
Rusty: That's an excellent advantage. How do you use them?
Susan: You just have to sign your name on the check and show a picture ID.
Rusty: But can't someone else steal the checks and forge your signature?
Susan: It's possible but not easy. When you buy the traveler's checks, you sign your name on each check. Then you countersign when you use them.
Rusty: Oh, I see. That way the clerk can make sure that the signatures match.
Susan: Exactly. Also, each check has a serial number. If you lose your traveler's check, just call the traveler's check company, and tell them the serial number. They'll cancel the checks and give you new ones.
Rusty: That's a brilliant idea.
Susan: Yeah, I like to use them. Plus in America you can use traveler's checks in most stores.

蘇珊：沒錯。而且每張支票都有序號。如果你丟了支票，只要打個電話給旅行支票公司，告訴他們支票序號就行了。他們會將支票作廢，發新的給你。
洛斯提：這點子太棒了。
蘇珊：是啊，我喜歡用旅行支票。再說，在美國大部份的商家都接受旅行支票。

◎advantage 優點 / 益處
