In New York City, an area with more than 20 million people, thousands of animals are
neglected,
abandoned, or mistreated. But now, there are eight guys out to save them all. They are not normal animal activists. Instead, they are
tough guys covered in tattoos that ride motorcycles. What
bonds them together is their
passion for animals and zero
tolerance for animal abuse. They call themselves Rescue Ink.
In the "Rescue Ink" series, National Geographic Channel follows these eight guys as they try their best to save animals from
desperate situations. For the men of Rescue Ink, it is all about getting these animals a second chance at life. They do just that for Spike and Brownie in the episode "Rebels with a Cause." Spike is a dog that has
a history of biting, so they must find an experienced trainer to work with him before he can be placed in a new home. Brownie is a dog suffering from a problem that causes him to drag his hindv legs. The guys make a wheelchair for him so that he can live a happier life.
