若干特殊形式的被動語態:

1.

getp.p.”—— 相當於 “bep.p.”,但只用於口語中。——其中有些 “p.p.” 應視爲做主詞補語的 分詞形容詞。如:

“getp.p.” 特別用於以下兩種場合

“have / getO.p.p.”—— 表示受詞被如何如何,get 比較口語化。主要用於以下兩種場合(參閱 p.518-10):

A.

用於主詞叫人或雇人做某事,但只說出事情,做事的人因爲是大家所熟知的,或是無關緊要,所以通常都未提出。如:

(1) 

A:

Do you have (or get) your lawn cut every week?
(
你是不是每星期請人剪草坪?)

B:

I don’t have (or get) it cut; I cut it myself.
(
我不請人剪,我自己剪。)

(2)

I’m going to have (or get) all my teeth pulled out, because I’m tired of suffering from toothache.
(
我要把全部牙齒〔請醫生〕拔掉,因爲我已忍受不了牙痛。)

(3)

He does such stupid things that he ought to have (or get) his head seen to.(他做如此愚蠢的事情,他該把他的腦袋檢查一下。)
         see to
examine (檢查)

(4)

Don’t forget that you must have (or get) your car licensed before the first of the January.
(
別忘了在一月一號以前你必須給汽車領個執照。)

(5)

The air has leaked out of this football. Could you get (or have) it blown up.
(
這足球漏氣了,請你打一下氣好嗎?)

(6)

Do you always get (or have) your suit made at the tailor’s or do you sometimes buy them ready-made?
(
你總是在裁縫店做衣服還是有時也買成衣?)

(7)

Bill has a poor sense of humor. He doesn’t like having (or getting) his leg pulled.
(
比爾沒有什麽幽默感。他不喜歡被人取笑。)

pull one’s leg 的含義是愚弄某人,取笑某人

(8)

He took the faulty part back to the shop and got (or had) it exchanged for another, that was perfect.
(
他把那個有毛病的零件送回商店換成另一個,那是好的。)

(9)

Get (or Have) the wounded men taken to hospital as quickly as you can.
(
儘快叫人將那些受傷者送去就醫。)

(10)

I will not have (or get) my house turned into a hotel.
(
我不願意使我的家變成了旅館。——下逐客令了。)
         加上了will not 即變成了拒絕允許或拒絕接受某種情況。

B.

用於敍述意外的、不幸的事情,並非主詞叫他人所爲。如:

(1)

We got (or had) our roof blown off in the tornado last night.
(
Our roof was blown off...)
(
昨天夜裡我們家的屋頂給龍捲風吹垮了。)

(2)

He had (or got) his house burnt in the late fire.
(
他的房屋在最近一次火災中燒掉了。)

(3)

If you’re not careful you'll get (or have) your teeth pushed down your throat.
(
如果你不小心,你的牙齒會被打掉。)

(4)

He had (or got) his fruit stolen before he had a chance to pick it.
(
他還沒來得及採收水果就給人偷去了。)

(5)

I had (or got) the number of my car taken by the police for parking in a prohibited area.
(
我因爲把車停在禁區而被警方記下了車號。)

(6)

The cat got (or had) her tail singed through sitting too near the fire.
(
這隻貓由於坐得離火太近而把尾巴尖端給燒焦了。)
          singed
的原形是 singe (、、、尖端燒焦)

(7)

They have had (or have got) their eldest child kidnapped by some men who broke into their house, and they are offering a reward for his safe return.
(
他們的長子被闖入家中的一些人綁架了,他們正提供一筆酬金以交換他平安歸來。)

(8)

The bandits paid for the crimes by having (or getting) their heads chopped off.
(
那些歹徒被砍了頭以作爲罪行的報應。)

(9)

If you don’t declare everything you have bought abroad, you may have (or get) it confiscated by the Customs Officers.
(
如果你不申報在國外買來的每一樣東西,就可能被海關官員沒收。)
